In The Garden

I usually hate wild morning glory. It’s called “bind weed” in the Midwest because it gets tangled up in equipment (like mowers) and has to be cut off.

I’ve been trying to get rid of the wild morning glory for twelve years. I’ve finally learned to just enjoy it. It doesn’t take up much space for it’s roots, and killing it was a losing battle. So. Morning glories it is!

However. It is very pretty in the morning. I enjoyed watching a bumblebee drinking the nectar. It made me happy to see it all, this morning!

Happy bee!

    1. I like morning glory that’s been bred for flowers. This little wild one is always coming up somewhere. I may try growing some next year to see if they’ll cross. I’d love to see something with a larger more colorful flower that still comes up everywhere! Thanks for coming by and commenting! I appreciate the visit.

  1. At least it is pretty. Our bindweed, which is more likely to sprawl over the ground, blooms with small creamy white flowers that are not much to brag about.
