Developing Dragon Fruit

Both flowers seem to have been well pollinated, even though I didn’t see anything on them. Seems like I don’t need to worry about hand pollination, since: I wasn’t home to mess with the first one and the fruit still set. Interested in seeing what the flavor of this is. Hopefully better than the ones at the grocery store or I may have to just grow these for the fantastic flowers.

    1. They sell them at our grocers. They ones, at the store are white inside with tiny black seeds. They’re completely flavorless. It’s why I decided grow my own. Surely a different variety that is allowed to ripen fully is better. Guess we’ll find out! Thanks for coming by today!

  1. Rad! I grew cuttings, but gave them away before they grew enough to bloom. I do not think that even the best fruit is all that flavorful, though. Prior to getting a fruit a few years ago, I had not eaten any since the 1980s, when I was in high school. They were available from Vietnamese markets in San Jose.
