Summer Heat San Antonio

Shade cloth structure is in for the year. The plants under this are low chill cherries (a Minnie Royal and a Royal Lee) and a low chill dwarf peach (Bonanza). All are from Raintree Nursery.
My dwarf peach.
Roma tomatoes.
Some cukes forming.
Potatoes, doing potato-y things.

The ginormous pomegranate bush next to my hugelkulter high density fruit bed that has a shade cloth over it.

I think I’m about to have another disaster year for corn. It’s been too hot, too early. I used a soil I’ve never used before. I had an issue with watering. And, because there’s been some crazy stuff going on in my personal life: I didn’t have time to go out and thin the plants. I’m disappointed, but it’s not the end of the world. I’m really hoping the current stress in this house starts going in the opposite direction.

My husband was hospitalized a couple of days ago. He’s back home now. It’s just been one crazy stressful thing after another.

Too much. Too much. Too much!

I’ll meet you out in the garden, barefoot, to ground our feet and release our stress!
