I passed a bunch of goats the other day. I had a handful of jujubes. Only one goat cared. Then I thought to cut up an old plum and brought that the next day.

I only had one taker. But today I brought a cut up apple and now I’m best friends with the entire goat pen!

I also found a pyracantha bush completely covered in berries

These are edible, which was a surprise for both me… and also, I surprised my mom when I shared that fact. We’d always assumed they were poisonous. When I was growing up the rule I was given was: watch out for white or red berries because they are usually poisonous. Who knew that was an old wive’s tale!? Pyracantha have a watery, apple flavor. People use these mainly to color jelly. Most Pyracantha jelly recipes call for apple juice to give it some flavor.

Pretty wild roses. I love my walks!

Invasive honeysuckle with a fungal issue. (poisonous red berries, so I guess the old wive’s tale isn’t totally wrong.)

Same farm had some outdoor libraries.

The moon from my chair as I waited for trick or treators. It’s little kids out here, so they come while it’s still light. Two bloody ballerinas. Kind of a weird costume to have more than one of! PS I love this camera.

YOU are the apple of their eyes!
🤣🤣🤣
Great pictures! I loved the shot of the moon.
Thank you! I’m glad you came by! I appreciate the visit.
Goats are just too cute. Great pictures.
Thanks! Good to see you today!
The goats look really cute, and I love those wildflowers! So cheerful!
Thank you! They are cute, and very careful nibblers! They are fun to watch. If I ever have a farm, definitely going to have goats. They climb all over everything and get out a lot, but the way these are fenced looks pretty solid! Thanks for coming by. I appreciate the visit.
