These are the type of friends you don’t need social media to keep up with! Today the emu had some of its own friends.

Two cows and four pigs. And me, like a dummy, got into the sand burs again. Hate, hate, sandburs!
(BTW don’t actually try and touch farm animals. They aren’t pets.).

The creek has been fixed by their handyman. It’s hard to believe this is the desert.

Beautiful area. I took some of the produce the emu farm had out.

Some bell peppers and onions. The onions have mold and some soft spots.

The peppers were starting to wrinkle. They had a cup for donations, but I had nothing with me. I’ll have to hit them up next time. However, not sure how much I’d pay for these at this quality, but I’m still grateful, so I’ll leave something.

Apparently, this is a homesteader family. The family has been farming here for over 100 years. I loved their old equipment outside.

I even walked up their driveway for pictures.

I prayed out loud for a lot of different things. I’m sure if the neighbors heard, they thought I was a weirdo. But I am a weirdo, so I guess: if it looks like a weirdo, and sounds like a weirdo, ya gotta call it one!
Meet you out in the bur pile for closeups of emus!

I always wondered if emus taste like chicken. I guess they don’t!!
I was and continue be amazed by our dinosaur friends. Dark meat, white meat, greasy dark meat like ducks have, turkey is very distinct and now texture and taste of beef? God definitely has a creative side! Good to see you today!
